In the Silence of My Soul

May 6, 2014

Because I cannot see you now should doubt

Allow the flame you lit it me burn out,

Obliterate the Presence I could feel

In moments when the Grace would softly steal

Upon me in the vastness of the night.

Must I await the advent of a light

That burns away the veils I chose to wear

Refusing to surrender to your care.

The road is long but why else are we here

For with each day I feel you drawing near

And in the silence of my soul I wait

For you alone on whom I meditate.
